How do I make it?

To prepare, simply place your Hot Chocolate Coin in up to 250ml cold milk in a pan on the hob, and stir until the chocolate is completely melted and your milk is as warm as you want it!

Best made with 150ml milk, 50ml double cream.  Divine!

Can’t I do it in the microwave?

Actually… yes.  It takes about the same time either way, but if you’d rather not stir into milk on the hob, or only have a microwave to hand, here are the instructions for you (microwaves do differ so timing may need to be changed):

* Add chocolate mix and enough milk to cover it into your mug
* Stir
* Heat in microwave for around 15 seconds, or until the chocolate has melted
* Top up with the rest of your milk – make sure it’s at least 1cm below the rim of the mug so it doesn’t boil over!
* Stir
* Heat in microwave for about another 60-90 seconds (or until heated to taste)
You might want to stir it again, for luck, but now you’re done!

ALTERATIVELY….  Heat your milk in the microwave without adding the chocolate, and then pop it in when your milk is to temperature!  If you have a battery-operated whisk please feel free to use that as it’s awesome.  Otherwise, just stir until it’s mixed, which…. may take a while.

Are your products nut-free?

Yes!  No nuts are used on site, and there are no traces in any of the ingredients used.  Including the nut flavours!  Full allergen information is available on product pages – just take a look at the “Additional Information” tab.

How much is postage?

Postage and packaging costs are all included in the item price for the coins, or £3.50 for crumbed chocolate (A Quarter of Cocoa).  You should expect your order to arrive in good condition in a sturdy box!  First Class is available at a 50p surcharge.  Tracked delivery is coming soon.

How do you deliver?

Orders are sent via Royal Mail and the prices are based on their costs.  However, if a particularly large order is received, it could be sent via a courier service instead.

Do you ship internationally?

Not at the moment.  This has been turned off temporarily to concentrate on growing the UK market, but if you want some in another country, pop me an email and we can see what can be done!

My order was damaged, or never showed up!

If this is the case, please send us a description of the damage via this link.  We will do our best to get you a replacement as soon as possible, but may need you to send us back the product first.  Please also take a photo of the problem and keep hold of it – we may need to send it to Royal Mail!

Your right to cancel (returns and the distance selling regulations)

UK law requires all online purchases to allow inspection for up to 14 days starting the day after you receive the product.  To clarify that law a little, as this is a foodstuff, if you unwrap the product then it is deemed used, and is no longer under inspection as it cannot be re-sold.  However if there’s something wrong with it (you’ve been sent the wrong flavour or it’s only half the size it should be) then of course get in touch and it’ll be sorted out.
Should you receive the package and decide you just don’t want it any more, and have opened none of the packages, then you can send it back at your own cost for a partial refund of 70% of your original payment(there is an inspection and re-stocking fee involved in this process).
I know it all sounds quite convoluted, but you need to be told all of the above.  That’s as simple as I can make it.  The official wording is (and you get this via email as well when you place an order):

“You can cancel this order within 14 days, beginning from the day after you receive the product.  The product must be unopened and in a re-saleable condition.  You will be reimbursed with 70% of payments received from you for the goods purchased including outbound delivery charges (for the least expensive type of delivery offered).  You will be responsible for the cost of returning the product and must obtain proof of postage in case of non-delivery.  Personalised items will only be reimbursed to 40%.”
